Happy Fourth of July ! ! !
There will not be a meeting this week of the Rotary Club in observance of the Fourth of July. Please enjoy the various ongoing town-related activities and stay safe (and dry!).
I would like to thank all who attended our annual Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Gavel meeting at the Jaffrey Civic Center. Much fun was had by all, and the catering by Stephanie was very well done and much appreciated.
John and I are excited to move forward in our new roles, and with a little hard work and luck, we will be able to make the upcoming 12 months as interesting and productive as Peter did over the past year.
Our next meeting WAS scheduled for July 13th at 7:15am at the Cathedral of the Pines. We will NOT be meeting in the morning, however, as we have the Peterborough Players scheduled for later that evening, with our Rotary Club social beginning at 5:30pm. If you still have not ordered tickets for the "Maytag Virgin," please contact Don Upton.
Please note our Rotary Club will be hosting a young man from Germany this school year, beginning in late August. Please help us find a first host family by reaching out to your networks and helping to spread the word. Contact Sam LaFortune or John McCarthy for more information.
