Hi Fellow Rotarians,
The Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club will meet on Thursday, September 21, at 7:15am, at Franklin Pierce University.
This week’s meeting will be a Club Assembly meeting and it will be utilized to move forward with 2023/2024 project assignments.
We currently have a growing list of project opportunities, and John and I are hopeful we can collectively agree on project selection followed by Rotary leadership/support assignments.
I am listing six varying-sized project opportunities below so you can give some thought to which projects you would like to move forward and support.
Each accepted project will be assigned a Rotary Project leader and support staff.
- Russ Gaskamp - overnight warming shelter for homeless through his Peterborough Church
- Bill Raymond - Convert former welcome center/gazebo site to a pollinator garden; tidy up & weed whack around signs coming into Jaffrey & Rindge
- Bob Schaumann - After school program at Christian Camp Monadnock
- Andy Lawn - Community meal
- Nutrition assistance for select students in the Jaffrey-Rindge Cooperative School District. This would be a follow up to our Club’s 2018 startup support of the Rindge Congregational Church’s Got Lunch program. It would also be a collaboration with the Conant class of 1973 and their efforts to raise funds for kids who come to school without breakfast and/or without money for lunch. This was described at last week’s meeting by David Griffin of Conant’ class of 1973.

- Rudra Aryal - Discussion with JRMS/Conant Students on Science and Math
