Today is Tuesday March 10 and I am hoping every Member of the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club performed their civic duty and voted today.

I personally am heading to the polls after completing this bulletin which may be the short version. The Ledger-Transcript Tuesday edition had loads of good news on the front page. Congratulations to the Conant Girls Basketball Team on capturing the New Hampshire State Crown! Rotarian Wheeler must be very proud of his daughter Meagan and her huge contribution to this Team. Ben’s son Nathan is on the Conant Boys Basketball Team that will be competing in the semi-final match at Southern NH University tomorrownight. I plan to attend that event as it is in Manchester, my home away from home. Lastly there was great news regarding Pat & Lisa Foley in the newspaper and our thoughts continue to be with them.

I would like to recognize the “Membership Committee” and the efforts of Chairman Bob Schaumann. It is really nice to see the new faces at our recent meetings. We have some ideal candidates that promise to add to the chemistry of our Club. We may actually swear-in a New Member this Thursday pending the recommendations I receive from the Board of Directors? I hope you will all consider Bob’s Membership challenge in providing the names of 2 folks that you think would make GOOD Rotarians.

The speaker this Thursday is Deborah Thurber. She will present to the Club on the Conant High School’s  “Project Shakespeare”. I can tell you that I have been to many of these events as my youngest daughter Courtney whole heartedly loved this project. It was amazing to me how many Students actually took part in acting out the many Shakespeare plays. This has to be one of Conant’s finest arts programs.

Kevin Hampsey will provide the invocation.

Hope to see you all on Thursday to welcome our newest Member!
