Thanks to all of you that made the March 19th Dinner Meeting at JP Stephens restaurant a success! I received a lot of positive feedback from folks that were able to free their spouse’s from their “Cabin Fever”. This was mainly a social event but we were able to accomplish some very important Rotary Business. Peter Davis has been sworn-in as the newest Member of the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club. Welcome aboard Peter! Bill Driscoll brought Bernie Hampsey as his guest. I had to wrestle the microphone away from Bernie as he wanted my job at the podium and thought he was the speaker! A Good time was had by all.

The Membership Committee is on a roll right now as we look to swear in our third new Member in a one month span. Please give Helene Rogers a warm welcome this Thursday as she joins the ranks. The Club has many tasks ahead as we prepare for the Spring roadside clean-up and Quest will be here before you know it. We will need all hands on deck, be it new members or seasoned Rotarians.

Upcoming events include the “Quest Yearbook” distribution which will take place immediately after our Club Meeting this Thursday. The Yearbooks will be handed out at the Jaffrey-Rindge Middle School Cafeteria around 9:15 am and all are encouraged to attend.

Tom Doane sent out a Club Runner plea for donations for the Interact Club. Please attempt to help these students gather the items they requested to bring to Nicaragua.

May 29-31 is the Rotary District Conference at the Marriott Sable Oaks Resort in Portland, Maine. The Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary delegates that will proudly represent our Club are John and Paddy McCarthy. The conference includes all the Exchange Students throughout our District which makes the McCarthy’s the perfect choice to represent us.

We will be presenting two “Student of the Month” awards at this Thursday’s meeting. Both Students are from Saint Patrick’s School and I am looking forward to recognizing them for their accomplishments. Please give a warm welcome to Julie Mason, Marie Elaine Algeo and their families.

Jed Brummer has the Speakers for this Meeting. Bill and Kathy Weibel have returned from a trip that included Africa and Cuba which they will share with us. This promises to be interesting.

Bruce Edwards has the invocation.

See you all Thursday at Franklin Pierce University.
