Hello Fellow Rotarians,

Wishing you a great week!  The Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club will meet this week, on Thursday, August 5th, and for the remainder of August, at the Woodbound Inn.  Socializing begins at 7:45am; the meeting begins at 8:00am, with breakfast being served shortly after the eight o'clock hour.

Starting with our first meeting in September, we will be back home at Franklin Pierce University.  Our meeting time will start Thursday, September 2nd, at 7:15am with breakfast at 7:30am.

The Board of Directors will meet next Wednesday, August 11th, at 8:00am, at the Cathedral of the Pines

I would like to express my appreciation to Bill Coleman (and back-up Donna Senechal) for stepping up to handle the guest speakers and invocation schedule for the upcoming year, along with Sheila Bergeron for volunteering to be our new Sargent at Arms.  Thank you very much!

Don't forget -- Rotary will be helping with the First Church Fair parking on Wednesday, August 4th, from 11:00am to 2:00pm!

Yours in service,

Ben

Todd Croteau, Jaffrey Superintendent of Highways and Facilities, Guest Speaker

Todd Croteau, Jaffrey's Superintendent of Highways and Facilities, shared how his department handled the challenges of the recent weekend rainstorm of two weeks ago, one in which nearly eight inches of rain fell on Jaffrey and surrounding areas.  Complimenting Todd and his team for their great work, Town Manager and Rotarian Jon Frederick also complemented Todd's information with that of his own. In addition, Jon filled in for vacationing Club President Ben Wheeler.
