The Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club will meet this Thursday, July 16th, at 7:15am, at the Cathedral of the Pines. Jed Brummer has the Invocation for our Thursday meeting. Our guest speaker will be Allan Gillis, Executive Director of the Community Volunteer Transportation Company (CVTC)
Each year, our Rotary Club provides a scholarship to a local student. Rotarian Ben Wheeler will introduce our 2026 scholarship recipient, Ava Rollins. Let's congratulate her on her scholastic achievements!!
Our membership chair, Rotarian Russell Gaskamp, will announce and welcome our newest Rotarian, Emily Foley, who will be inducted at our meeting.
We have a busy week ahead. Let's plan to start the meeting portion at 7:30am.

Next week, July 23rd, we will not have a morning meeting. Instead, we will be at the Milliken Manor, 580 Mountain Road, Jaffrey, for our big event, Grill & Chill. The event starts at 4:00pm and will end by 10:00pm. For all those who signed up to help either the day before or the day of the event, we will see you at your scheduled times. We hope to see you all there for a great time with the community.
July 30th finds us returning to the Cathedral of the Pines.

Lastly, each summer, the Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club hosts a social at the Peterborough Players in August. The only date I see on our calendar is for Aug. 20th. The show is "EMMA" by Kate Hamill. Based on a novel by Jane Austen and directed by Brendon Fox, "EMMA" is a witty, romantic comedy with doses of Bridgerton and Clueless. Kate Hamill's exuberant take on Jane Austen's famous matchmaker promises sumptuous clothes, witty banter, and hearts aflutter. They are holding 24 tickets for us at this time. If you were to buy your own tickets, it would cost you $68.00 per ticket. Our group rate will be $53.00 per ticket. Please let me know if you and your spouse/friend would like to attend this show. We will have a BYOB gathering one hour before the show, sharing each other's appetizers.
