Hello Fellow Rotarians,

It was nice to see those in attendance last Thursday at FPU for the Cabana Falls Winery overview; it is great when we can support our local businesses!

The Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Club will meet at Franklin Pierce University on Thursday, March 31st, at 7:15am, for our Club Assembly.  Among our activities, we will be recognizing a local student as "Student of the Month."  At the following week's meeting, we plan to honor and recognize the Franklin Pierce University Women's Ice Hockey team and their championship season.

That having been said, I hope everyone had a great weekend, and if your NCAA bracket is not busted, you are doing far better than I am.   I am sure Bob Schaumann will have his Villanova gear on full display, as Villanova has reached the Final Four.  As a side note, Xavier University is in the semi-finals of the NIT; I know, I know... I am reaching a bit here.

Club members Jon Frederick and Russell Gaskamp are working hard on the details for our Club “Live Auction” in mid-May; details to follow, but it will be a great event.

Our upcoming schedule for meetings is below:

  • Breakfast meeting at FPU on Thursday, 4/7, at 7:15am.   Guest speakers will be the FPU Women’s Hockey Team (see attached photo).  Thank you Jed and Gas for lining this up.
  • Monthly Board of Directors Meeting on Wednesday, 4/13, at 8:00am at the Cathedral of the Pines.
  • Breakfast meeting at FPU on Thursday, 4/14, at 7:15am.   Guest speaker(s) – TBD.

I look forward to seeing you all on Thursday morning – have a great week,

Yours in Service,

Ben

Aly Lefebvre, Cabana Falls Winery - Guest Speaker

Aly Lefebvre entertained Rotarians, as she enthusiastically told the story of Cabana Falls Winery, which recently opened in Jaffrey's Belletete's Plaza.  The winery produces "fun wines" with zany names, and Rotarians are invited to come down to enjoy the weekly tastings.

Random shots taken by the Photographer

Not sure what happened, but the photographer's camera wasn't focusing too well in "automatic" mode.  We'll try to do better for our next meeting!
