Hopefully, everyone had a safe and enjoyable Labor Day weekend.

The District Governor Rich Berryman and Assistant District Governor Doug Rupert were quite impressed with all that we have going on in our little corner of New Hampshire. If you read the District Governor’s weekly posting, then you know he had a lot of great things to say about OUR Club. He got some of the facts distorted the same way the Transcript-Ledger does but he’s a Dentist not a journalist! The venue at Wood Bound Inn was perfect for our Board of Directors Meeting and Quest slide-show presentation. Then of course you can’t go wrong with the Shattuck Banquet Hall for a weekly Rotary Meeting. I thought it would be a nice gesture to let Rich and Doug win the morning golf match? Jed was having none of that, so we sent the Governor and his Assistant back home with a severe Golf beat-down.

There is NO Rotary Meeting this Thursday.

The next Rotary event is Tuesday night, September 9th at 5:30 pm when we gather at the Peterborough Players for some Fellowship and the Patsy Kline Play.

The next Rotary Meeting will be on September 11 at 7:15 am at Franklin Pierce University. We have had very good attendance this summer and I would like to keep the momentum going. Jason Nero will be sworn-in as our newest member. Let’s give him a warm welcome!

Don Upton has a very exciting speaker coming to show us a preview of the latest Ken Burns documentary.

Thom Davis has the invocation.
